As a leading HUI (Humanized User Interface) evangelist, speaker on the subject of the UX of HUI, and co-founder of both Humanize (a consultancy/dev shop for all things HUI) and HUI Central (a 1,500 member NYC tech community), Deb is continuously researching, exploring, and refining UX methodologies for HUI.
She is a practitioner of lean and logical UX focusing on best practices in the broader context of CX (customer experience). Her repertoire includes many years of agency work designing and creating branding, graphics, and UI for projects including web sites, kiosks, and experiential marketing systems, for clients including: Saks, L'Oreal, Coty, and the Maryland Transit Administration.
Deb has organized and managed major HUI hackathons for IBM Watson and Microsoft both in New York and Austin TX, as well as nearly 40 Meetups.
Deb holds an MBA (marketing), a BA in Art History, and in addition to 10+ design awards, she won a 2012 User Experience Award.
